Squabbles |
Dan Trent of Jacksonville and Eukie Greutink of Kilgore will play the squabblers-in-chief, Abe Dreyfus and Mildred Sloan, in TCTC's next Braithwaite offering, Marshall Karp's Squabbles. Trent, a mainstay of Cherokee Civic Theatre in Rusk, will make his TCTC debut as the pugnacious father of Alice (Lea Holland of Tyler). Greutink will play Abe's formidable opponent, the mother of Alice's husband, Jerry (Sean Holliday of Tyler).
The two grandparents-to-be (Alice and Jerry are expecting their first child) agree on nothing except that the other should move out of Alice and Jerry's home. Clarence Strickland of Tyler will apper as the Sloans' laid-back handyman, while Lee Shults of Tyler moves in as the nurse following the baby's birth.
Pat Grubbs directs, with Tom Young and Shirley Jenkins as producers and William Howell as stage manager. Assisting backstage and in the tech booth will be Ray Simmons, set construction; Stephanie Lawson, lights; Joy Harman, sound; Roxanne Apolskis, props; Jennifer Ann Simmons, costumes, and Hannah Morris, crew, all of Tyler.
Lindale residents Mike Hargrove and Charles Praytor have contributed music -- Hargrove recording the opening and entr'acte selections and Praytor writing the tunes for Jerry Sloan's advertising jingles.
