Guest Directors

 A guest director’s honorarium will be based on his/her past experience and volunteer contributions to TCTC.  Pursuant to policy adopted by TCTC:

1. a guest who has directed for two consecutive seasons shall not be considered for a third consecutive season, and

2. a member of TCTC’s board of directors may not accept honoraria for services to TCTC.

  2010 SEASON GUEST DIRECTORS  

HANNAH MORRIS to direct A Little Princess - Tyler native Hannah Morris grew up at the Tyler Civic Theatre, beginning as a first-year member of the STARS program.

As a fourteen-year-old, the Suncoast Regional Chapter of the National Television Academy awarded her an Emmy for her performance in Kids Get Arthritis Too. Performances in TCT productions include Alice in Wonderland, Chipper: A Texas Cinderella, Animal Farm, Lil' Abner, A Christmas Story and Aesop's Falables.

In addition to acting, Hannah directed showcase scenes, led voice and movement workshops and choreographed combat scenes at TCT and K.D. Studio. Her other screen credits include Rough Sketch and a starring role in the Emmy-winning Rebuilding Trust, as a victim of child abuse receiving counseling from the Children’s Assessment Center of Houston.

Hannah is a graduate of Dallas’ K.D. Studio Actor’s Conservatory.

SEAN HOLLIDAY to direct Dixie Swim Club - Sean Holliday is a regular on stage at TCTC, appearing most recently in The Laramie Project.  This show marks his tenth season in a row.

He has directed or acted in 17 shows during that span at TCTC.  You may remember the hilarious Neil Simon comedy, Rumors, featuring John Woods, which he directed 3 seasons ago.

Sean has a BFA in Acting/Playwriting from U. T. Austin, and over 30 years experience on stage. He is a member of Christ Episcopal Church, and on the Board of the Choir School of East Texas. He enjoys playing golf and racquetball, and spending time with his wife Stacey, and daughters, Caitlin and Taylor.

Sean says, “I am looking forward to directing Dixie Swim Club, because it demonstrates the lifelong effect of friendships that come from a positive team experience.”

Front desk will be also be open on all performance days (including weekends) and opening days of Conservatory classes and STAR camps.
