Directors

Felicity EnasFelicity Enas, a graduate of Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art, has been resident director of Rogers Children's Theater since 2002. Each season she directs four plays and teaches classes in Acting Conservatory and S.T.A.R. A talented seamstress, she has costumed shows in both theaters, and she occasionally appears onstage, most recently in January 2009's Black Comedy in the Braithwaite. In addition to her work at TCTC, Felicity is an artist for Young Audiences of Northeast Texas. She has a one-woman presentation on the life and times of Queen Elizabeth I and is 1/3 of a trio, Mother Goose & Friends. In summer 2007, she and DeAnna Hargrove took a troupe of young actors to perform in London, which led to TCTC's association with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts as a U.S. site for LAMDA examinations. Felicity took LAMDA exams as a theater student in her native England, and in April 2008 she again achieved a Distinction level in LAMDA's Devise category. Felicity is a member-at-large of the board of directors of the Texas Non-Profit Theatre Association.

DeAnna HargroveDeAnna Hargrove, TCTC's education director, has been building TCTC's education program since 2000. It now includes two Acting Conservatory sessions, including individual audition coaching; S.T.A.R. camps; examinations onsite by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art; the New Play Festival for unpublished playwrights; workshops in adult acting, tech skills, and stage combat; youth theater workshops-in-the-park for the city of Tyler; and opportunities for young actors to perform abroad. Besides teaching in TCTC's programs and directing one Rogers play each season, she is the theater instructor at King's Academy. A playwright herself, she was an evaluator for the 2007 playwriting contest conducted by the Texas Non-Profit Theatre Association. As an actress, she achieved distinction in acting at the 2008 LAMDA exams and was most recently seen onstage in November 2008 as Norma in Plaza Suite in the Braithwaite. DeAnna is vice-chair of Quad II, the northeast Texas quadrant of the Texas Non-Profit Theatre Association.
