John Woods has selected a mixture of TCTC veterans and a newcomer for the six-person cast of A Month of Sundays, Bob Larbey's gentle comedy about folks in a rest and retirement home and those who care for them.
In the leading role of Cooper, a new resident who decides to enliven the place, is Bernie Demers of Hideaway. Playing his friend Aylott is Tony Bailey of Holly Lake Ranch, returning to the TCTC stage after a ten-year absence.
Susan Gage and Dwain Hare, both of Tyler, are cast as Julia, Cooper's daughter, and Julia's husband, Peter. Playing staff at the rest home are Jenny Chapman of Houston as Nurse Wilson and Kathleen Ramey-Gilman of Bullard, making her TCTC debut as Mrs. Baker, the housekeeper.
The play opens the 2009/2010 Braithwaite season offering eight performances starting Friday, September 4. Season tickets are available by clicking here. Pat Grubbs and Ann Russell, both of Tyler, are the play's producers.
